What is Grapevine World about?
Grapevine World is a decentralized, borderless ecosystem for the seamless, standardized exchange of healthcare data. In it, health data is exchanged according to Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) methodology 03), an existing set of standards used in European and federal level projects worldwide for years. Patients gain ownership of their health data. They can access their data any time, anywhere. Patients decide with whom to share their data, and for what use, granting explicit consent on a case-by-case basis with privacy assured by full data anonymization. Every use of their data is rewarded with blockchain based crypto-tokens (GVINEs) that can be used to exchange for products and services – apps, gadgets, medical advice and care.
What is the value proposition?
The current healthcare industry is stuck due to diverse, uncoordinated and unconnected data sources and systems. The resulting lack of access to data and its application leads to delays, mistake diagnosis, error in prescriptions, and sometimes even death.
